The Antigone Music Collective is happy to announce the second annual Call for Scores!
One winner will be selected on or before July 1st, 2024. The winning work will be performed during the 2025 concert series of the Antigone Music Collective, and the winner will receive a $500 honorarium prize. Additional performances of the winning work will be discussed and mutually agreed upon by the composer of the winning submission and the Antigone Music Collective.
Submission requirements are listed below.
Submissions for the 2024 Antigone Music Collective Call for Scores MUST be submitted on or before 11:59pm ET on May 31st, 2024. Specific submission instructions can be found later on this webpage.
This year, submissions for the AMC Call for scores must be written for a string duo: violin and cello.
The duration of the work must be a minimum of 8 minutes, and cannot exceed 15 minutes.
To submit your composition for the 2024 Call for Scores, please email the following information to antigonequartet@gmail.com by 11:59pm on May 31st, 2024.
In the subject line, please write <Last, First> 2024 CFS Submission
In the body of the email, please include the following:
Name and preferred pronouns
Location where you currently reside
Your age
Title of your piece
Any program notes
Recording of your piece (if applicable)
If applicable, when and where the piece has been previously recorded/ performed
A PDF of your score.
*Along with the submission, a $25 donation to the Antigone Music Collective is suggested. This is not required and will not impact the applicants’ standing in any way. This donation will give AMC the resources to take the necessary time to study and review applications. Donations can be made here.
